Reinsurance Senior Expert (m/f/d)
A day in a life of a Reinsurance Senior Expert in UNIQA Bulgaria
You will be:
- Plans the reinsurance activity according to the needs and requirements of the company.
- Renewal and maintenance of the automatic reinsurance treaties of the company.
- Negotiation of facultative reinsurance contracts and special acceptances.
- Analyzes insurance portfolios in different business lines and identifies major and/or non-standard risks.
- Organizes facultative reinsurance for large risks or those that are excluded from the Company's standard reinsurance contracts.
- Conducts comprehensive correspondence with reinsurers and various institutions related to reinsurance activity regarding terms and clauses of contracts, quotations, special conditions, and contracts for reinsurance of specific risks, daily correspondence on various issues.
- Prepares cover notes for facultative and fronting contracts.
- Prepares reports and the bordereau for internal and external reinsurers.
- Prepares technical accounts for ceded premiums, claims and commissions for the Finance and Accounting Department.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and letters on reinsurance according to the requirements of the Financial Supervision Commission.
- Prepares quarterly reports on the share of reinsurers in the company's reserves, as well as calculation of reserves according to the requirements of the International Standards for Financial Statements for the purposes of the consolidated statement of UNIQA Group.
- Prepares a forecast for the reinsurance result of the company for a period of five years and monitors it.
- Responsible for implementing an effective internal control system, for the timely implementation and documentation of the defined controls, for the periodic review and change.
- Responsible for the implementation of the measures prescribed by external and internal auditors and by supervisory authorities, in accordance with the defined deadlines.
You have:
- At least 3 years of related job experience (ideally in international environment)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree (degree in Economy/Insurance will be considered as an advantage)
- Fluency in English
- Remarkable organizational skills
- Computer literacy: MS Office, specialized software
